Bubbles and a Ham!

Jonathan has had a few bubble baths, but typically would eat the bubbles and I would determine it would be his last one for a while. I gave in one night and brought in the camera to capture my ham on film!

He's thinking about eating them!

He's testing me at this point!

Oops, I got caught!

What a ham!

Cheese!

Halloween Fashion Show

While trying to get packed and figure out what we needed with us over the next few months, I was trying to decide on Halloween costumes. I found Matt's from 2 years ago and just for grins, tried it on Jonathan!

Our second little golfer!

Matt didn't like the hat and even cried terribly, but Jonathan just laughed and ripped it off!

Then he attacked me!

On to the pirate try on! ARRRRR!

Houston Zoo, A Last Visit

One day before we moved, I decided to throw out all logic and try to take the boys to the zoo by myself! I thought I was a bit crazy, all the way there, but it turned out to be a great morning!

Here they are in the aquarium.

A very cool tunnel allowed them to fell like they were in the aquarium.

They cracked me up in this "tree", and they wouldn't stop moving, so all the pictures turned out blurred, but I couldn't resist!

Checkin' out the animals!

Matt liked the animal statues best because he wanted to put coins in all of them. They are all donations for different exhibits at the zoo. Matt contributed to several this visit.

At least one of them was interested in the animals!

Hey!

Last time we were here, he was barely able to remain standing on this bridge when other kids were on it. This visit, he was full on running across it!

Watch out!

That devilish grin is a sight to see!

Dancing in the Night

The boys often amuse me and I can rarely catch them on video doing the things I love! One day, after a few times of just being an observer, I couldn't help but grab the camera.

The boys were on a kick of a show called Dinosaur Train on PBS. Since we use DVR, they would watch the same episodes with the same promos. They came to know some of the promos quite well, and this is what happened, twice!

I love the night time routine with Jonathan, and especially when he does new things and expands on them. One night, he did an extended goodnight to his Backyardigans. One of my favorite books to read to the boys is Pajama Time. We all get very animated and loud. It's an enjoyable time, and this night I caught Jonathan on camera reading it with me!

Last Days in Houston

The boys were able to get outside to play a bit more before we moved. It was still hot and there were of course still mosquitoes, but we played as much as we could!

Peek-a-boo!

Time for a bit of swinging!

A Visit to See Daddy!

Before we sold the house in Seabrook, we took a weekend trip up to see Nick in Dallas. He was staying with my dad & stepmother as he began his new job. We went for a weekend visit to see him!

Let the non-mommy time begin! It's amazing what a child will do for someone other than his mommy. Matt will now actually take a walk down to the neighborhood park without uttering the whiny "carry me, Mommy"! On this day, he rode the tricycle to the park.

The boys crack me up on the playground these days!

They find any slides they can and "race" down them.

Matt loves to push Jonathan in the swing and make him laugh!

When we got here, the State Fair of Texas had just opened, so we hopped on the "yellow train" and headed downtown one morning.

Apparently it was bright on the train! Matt was modeling his sunglasses.

Jonathan loved the train ride and watching all that passed by on the way!

Big Tex!

More swinging!

Matt asked me to take some pictures of him running! He continues to crack me up!

I think Jonathan was amazed at just how many times his brother ran by him!

Time to snap some photos of him and his truck racing.

He kept asking me to take a picture and then running by me to check the camera.

Matt took all of his cars from his basket and decided to make a train. Boys will be boys!

The cats got to play too, once the boys were in bed.

Jonathan took advantage of some alone time and grabbed his fireman's hat, climbed in a box and chilled.

The boys love playing out back. The big ball was a hit!

Rolling around on it is even more fun when you stay on for a bit!

Hopscotch and more!

Almost done with September pictures...

Back when we lived in Houston still, the boys and I braved the afternoon heat and mosquitoes to play outside.

Chalk drawing was the beginning of the excitement!

Good thing Jonathan's not expected to use a supporting hand on his paper yet.

Jonathan gets a little hopscotch in!

Matt's "hop" looked more like a full on gallop.

More hopping!

Looks like he's planning for a big takeoff!

Hey Mommy, look at me on the slide!

A close-up of my "baby"

Climbing up the slide...

Baby brother learns from his big brother... we're in trouble!

Who me?

Sprinklers

The boys loved their little pool once the big pool was a bit chilly to swim. Matt loved the sprinkler raining on him in the pool too! Jonathan was not such a big fan of the sprinkler, and was likely climbing on the play structure while these pictures were taken.

Matt was filling up his spray bottle to spray me at this point!

Here goes, aim at Mommy!
