Dress Up

One afternoon the boys found the basket we have of costumes and random accessories. They decided it was time to dress up! Jonathan picked his firefighter costume and Matt chose his pirate costume (from his Halloween 2 years ago).

Matt even helped Jonathan get his boots on!

Jonathan took our picture. I had to join in, but was only given a straw hat. Maybe nothing else would have fit and the boys knew it.

Silly smiley boys.

This was their attempt to make "serious faces". Love the smirks!

Matt took Jonathan's picture too!

Matt attempted to make pirate sounds for me to take pictures of, but I don't think the sounds really came across in the pictures.

We had some fun, with something out of the ordinary routine. That's my favorite kind of play!

Angel Day

The Angels had little league day and the boys had an opportunity to walk on the field before the game. It was an exciting day for the boys.

A couple of us ran around the stadium trying to get the best angle of the boys during the "parade" around the field.

Coach Aaron was nice enough to point me out to Matt every time we got close, and encouraged a good picture.

I got a wave once!

Spotted again!

Part of the team along with Team Mom Jenn and Coach Aaron!

The front part of the line! They got a bit of flack for stopping for pictures, but they were worth it.

The boys were told to hold hands with their teammates, and in true Matt fashion, he wouldn't let go!

Time for the Angels to play!

My 3 boys at the start of the game.

Silly Jonathan, posing for the camera.

Matt tried to join in!

Then he shoved Jonathan out of the way.

Then the posing became even sillier still.

I love it when they have smiling, loving moments. Unfortunately, this ended in a little screaming and possibly some shoving. I try to block those parts out.

The tongues...

Rally cap attempt?

We ended up leaving around the 5th inning, but the boys had a blast and were ready to head home at that point.

Tee Ball in Action

Did I mention how long tee ball season was this spring? Loved it, but it was so much longer than the fall season had been in Dallas.

Matt's in the middle, down and ready for the ball.

#13!
Got the ball and throwing to 1st!

Always good to have a helping tongue on the field.

Jonathan, our water boy!

Coaching tips from Daddy!

Waylon and Avalon did much coloring on the blanket during the season.

The coveted 1st base position.

Don't know what this move is, but it's unique for sure!

Grandma Comes to Visit!

My two goofballs were nothing short of entertaining for my mom's trip down south to see us!

They started out with an entertaining lunch at Ruby's on the way back from the airport.

Matt had a tee ball game the weekend Grandma was in town, so she finally got to see him play. In the fall when we were still in Texas, the game was cancelled due to weather. Although the weather was gloomy and windy most of the week she was in town, we still got to have a game!

Relaxing at the Phillies game.

There are some times when they get along, watching each other and sharing.

We took Grandma down to the playground behind our house.

Then we shared swim lessons with her. It was cold and breezy, but we were able to see the boys pick up some new skills.

A little snack while Matt had his lessons.

We learned the first week that Jonathan would participate and follow directions for his swim lessons, but only if Matt was in the pool. So, with some reminders, Matt stayed on the steps, and Jonathan participated.

The boys kept Grandma occupied with the wii and their guitars all week!

Bunk Beds!

In figuring out just how big our boys were getting, it was obvious that Jonathan had outgrown his toddler furniture and was ready for something more his size. In a moment of genius (sarcasm noted), we thought we would try getting bunk beds and having the boys share a room. It meant they both got new furniture, but we only had to buy one set of furniture! Bonus for us! While we still struggle with the "going to bed" part of the sharing, I think it has brought them closer and they are enjoying their time together even more. Time will tell how long that will last, but at least for now, we're pretty happy with the situation.

Tee Ball Fun

Just a few more pics of tee ball. It was a long season!

Matt kept improving with going after the ball.

The boys loved running through the parent/sibling tunnel after the games.

High fives and laughs were abundant and the boys would try to make it last as long as they could, sometimes running through 4- 5 times!
