Bowling with Daddy!

We didn't get to see Nick very often during this time period, so we tried to jam pack everything in when we could. So, we took the boys back to the bowling place where we'd attended the birthday party.

Patience was a necessity on all fronts. The boys waited while Nick set up the ramp, aiming for a strike.

Yea, Jonathan! He loved clapping for everyone, including himself.

Cheesy grin time!

More excitement for Jonathan!

Every time we go to a place with games, he climbs into the race car games. He just loves pretending, and it doesn't cost us a thing, yet.

Brotherly love!

Those are my boys!

A Visit from Daddy!!!

Due to the crazy weather we had over Valentine's Day weekend, Nick wasn't able to come back for a visit, so we rescheduled. It was very hard living apart for so long, but the visits were great!

We took him to our favorite playground.

I missed those looks between Nick and the boys!

I believe Jonathan was saying "Daddy!!!!" and Matt was putting a block on him so he couldn't get up on the playground.

The king of the world!

Happy Valentine's Day

Yes, I realize it's June, but remember, I'm still playing catch up with the blog! So, here's our Valentine's Day cupcake celebration. The boys LOVED the cupcakes. I am sure you are not surprised!

Jonathan was a mess, and Matt had some icing on his nose, so we made it a bit worse and I jumped in for our Valentine's Day shot! Love these boys!

February Snow!

We heard we were going to get some snow, but in all my years growing up in Dallas, I had never seen anything like this before! It was crazy, and the boys weren't too sure what to think either.

Jonathan was skeptical about the whole thing.

Matt was hesitant, but excited about it all.

Still not too sure about all this cold wet stuff falling from the sky!

My car was covered, along with everything else in sight!

It was like a Winter Wonderland out front.

Matt was tackling the remnants of the snow the next day.

Fun in the snow!

Cheese, in the snow! There was a bit of a glare because of all of the white around.

Running for a touchdown! Look how deep the snow was.

Eating snow became Matt's favorite activity.

Warming up to the whole snow idea, now that it wasn't falling from the sky anymore.

Our first snowman!

The boys tried out their "Fight On" for a picture for Nick, but Jonathan couldn't yet separate 2 fingers and Matt had on mittens. Worth a try though!

Cheese!

The leftovers the next day. Matt had a blast destroying what was left of the snowman.

February at Last!

Finally getting into February pictures! Not much on this one, other than to say I'm one month closer to being up to date with the blog!

Grandma sent us some matching pjs for the boys, and of course, they had to model them by wearing them the same night. My two cheesy boys, having some tv time together before bath.

Valentine Photoshoot

In preparing for Valentine's Day, and a visit from Nick, we decided to have our favorite photographer take some pics of the boys as a surprise for "Daddy". At the time, the boys had only seen Stephanie for our Christmas photos, so the in the studio photo shoot was a new one for them. They did pretty well!

Here's Matt trying for some solo shots.

Jonathan had taken a spill a few days before the shoot. Didn't stop them from smiling and playing around!

Matt kept trying to tickle and mess with Jonathan. He wasn't too sure about it all.

A bit "Fight On" for Daddy!

Jonathan couldn't quite capture the "Fight On", but he tried!

Jumping around, too blurry for the great shot! Can you tell they were moving at different speeds? These days Jonathan is usually the one who is a blur!

Brotherly love!

My little charmer!

I jumped in at the end and tried to get a shot for Nick of all 3 of us. This is the best we could come up with for that.

Actually, this one was more of a true representation of our shoot with Stephanie. Chaos and love all at once!

Bowling Birthday!

Matt was attending preschool 2 days a week while we were staying with my dad and stepmother, and one of the boys had a birthday party while he was there. It happened to be at Main Event and the first part of bowling. It was Matt's first time bowling!

He was a little hesitant at first.

But then he was liking it and couldn't wait for his turn!

He found a favorite game after the pizza party.

Then Matt & the birthday boy, Cameron, rode motorcycles.

Firemen Calendar? Not Exactly.

Back in January (since that's how far behind I am on this blog), my mom (aka Grandma) send Matt a fireman's uniform to play in. He loved it and immediately put it on and asked where his hat was hiding. We found the hat, and the boys had a fun playtime that afternoon.

Matt tried to model the full uniform for me, but was too excited to look directly at the camera.

Jonathan, however, played to the camera well, but wouldn't believe me when I told him how the hat should be worn.

When he wasn't hamming it up to the camera, he was looking at himself in the mirror. He grabbed my belt to try out a different look.

Matt decided the belt was a good idea too!

Trying to get the 2 of them to cooperate with a laptop around is a challenge, but they did quite well briefly in this shot.

He's such a character!

Park in the Old Hood

The boys and I were driving around on a pretty windy, cool day in January, looking for somewhere to play. We drove around a while, watching the flags, seeing if any were less than straight out. We ended up in Richardson, playing at Mimosa Park. This brought back some memories!

Jonathan was loving all of the slides.

He was busy running around, but stopped briefly for a photo op.

The dinosaur was a bit scary, until big brother climbed up on it and they both started feeding it some sticks!

Uh oh, not side by side slides! Their favorite!!! Running off to do it again.

Notice Matt's pants... he kindly dried off the entire playground with his pants so all could slide freely. Nice of him, huh? He was quite amused by it. Thankfully, Jonathan had on pants that weren't quite so absorbent, because he's not as tolerant of wet clothing.

The boys had a blast, despite the wind and chilly weather. They vowed to bring Nick here when his next visit.
