Baby Jeremy Turns 1!

After missing many other milestones in each other's kids' lives, the boys and I were finally able to make it to a Birenbaum boy birthday party! Jeremy turned 1 and we were able to share it with the family!

The boys warmed up to dinner away from home, with a little train table time with big brother Joshua.

Lisa's mom (and a second mom to me), Minna, holds her two youngest grandsons! Notice the pint size tux on the birthday boy!

The boys share the mic. Not too sure if Matt understood it, but at least I captured some sharing!

Joshua was not ordering the boys around at the kids' table, but rather counting to make sure everyone was there. It was a funny night, getting these 4 together at one table.

More trains!!!

The yummy cake!

Hard to be patient when all you can see is the side of a big blue cake and everyone standing around as if we are ready to eat it. The boys all did great waiting!

My try for the family photo. At least all 4 of them are in the shot, along with everyone else!

The happy blue birthday boy!

Wild, crazy, flying and blue after all that icing and cake. I think it was a good birthday!

Nana's Birthday

The boys and I headed up to Oklahoma to visit Nana & Pawpaw just in time to celebrate Nana's birthday in March!

The boys spent their first night playing pool with Pawpaw. Jonathan could finally reach the pockets and the table!

Tip toes certainly help! Matt is getting a more professional look about his pool stance with each visit.

This was the windiest day EVER! We tried out the playground, but wimped out shortly after this picture.

Matt became adventurous and actually tried out the steep slide.

Jonathan cheesed it up with the birthday girl and the Transformers.

Playtime outside is always fun, especially when there is a football involved!

Rocks & Hills

Sometimes it doesn't take much to amuse the boys! This day all it took was a walk across the street at my dad's house. The pond, a hill, and a bunch of rocks...

Running up and down the hill was great!

Matt was trying to put on a pouty face, but he started laughing. Cracked me up!

Jonathan insisted on putting his own hat on. Think he did a great job?

And then the crazies hit! He cracks me up continually!

Opening Day at the Arboretum

I grabbed the boys one morning and headed to the Arboretum for opening day. It was a surprise and they had no idea what was in store for them. Matt protested in the parking lot, but slowly warmed up to the idea of open space to run around!

Jonathan took in the view of the plants, while Matt was plane watching.

Holding hands! So cute!

They actually held on for a few yards. I couldn't help but hang back and just watch!

It was hard having him wait on the top of the hill to pose for this shot. He ran down shortly after this.

Jonathan waited patiently and was a bit leery of the hill. I think if we went back today, he'd be rolling around and running everywhere.

An attempt of a picture together

Matt ran off and Jonathan let me take some shots.

Checking out the fish

More brotherly love!

Playing around in the old houses

Playing around with all the old schoolhouse things.

Peek-a-boo

They loved "cooking", but Jonathan paused long enough to come out and say hi to me.

Don't know what Matt was doing, but this one cracks me up!

Exploring Allen

Back to Allen to explore the play area again! We were trying to figure out where we were going to rent a house at the time, so the boys did a lot of driving around "looking at houses". This was their reward one afternoon.

Running and chasing each other through the Texas maze

A little lego time in the caboose

Jonathan's breaking into the safe, again!

Back in the caboose for some game time. They had so much fun!

New game... whack the bowling pin and see if you can make it land in Alaska.

Just Playing Around

We were driving around one morning and happened upon yet another new playground.

The boys fought over the motorcycle!

Checking in from the stairs

Drumming on the playground proved to be a very fun activity. They even had another boy involved at one point.

Community Center Mayhem

Every other Tuesday the McKinney Community Center opens up their gym for a couple of hours and puts out all kinds of toys for the under 5 kids and for a couple of dollars your kids can run wild! I took the boys a couple of times before we moved. They loved it!

Jonathan loved all the push toys. He was running around dodging everything in sight.

One of my favorite toys for the kids, and Matt was in love with it. He'd grab one as soon as we got in there, and wouldn't stop until we left. Well, a couple of breaks, but he'd hang onto it while he shot baskets or kicked the balls around.

Aiming for his little brother inside the Thomas tent.

Peek-a-boo!

Bowling with Daddy!

We didn't get to see Nick very often during this time period, so we tried to jam pack everything in when we could. So, we took the boys back to the bowling place where we'd attended the birthday party.

Patience was a necessity on all fronts. The boys waited while Nick set up the ramp, aiming for a strike.

Yea, Jonathan! He loved clapping for everyone, including himself.

Cheesy grin time!

More excitement for Jonathan!

Every time we go to a place with games, he climbs into the race car games. He just loves pretending, and it doesn't cost us a thing, yet.

Brotherly love!

Those are my boys!
